[http://www.lmsoft.com/] We had a fantastic afternoon at Bassingbourn, apart from the 100 decibel noise limit which stopped Bungle getting on track with the Beast for a while. First try registered 109db, the insert for the Blitz Nur Spec exhaust brought it down to 106db and we ended up packing the exhaust with fibreglass matting to get the noise down to 99.5db. Out on the track was great, with big run off areas and not a lot to hit so you can get a bit lairy with the throttle! This was just as well as Bobby tried a bit too hard on his 2nd lap and spun the MR2 and Twarn spun the Skyline towards the end of the day, then a lap later hit the brakes at the end of a straight to find the brakes had ‘left the building' requiring a swift pull of the handbrake and another spin (not to mention a change of underwear!). It was nice to be able to practice some high speed power slides (Supra spent most of the day on opposite lock) and the biggest surprise was how we were hassling the Elise's and Caterham-type motors round the twisty bits. So thanks to Motorsports-Events.com for organising the day (hello Natasha!) Now we just can't wait to get back on track! Shout out to Pistonheads member Rob in his S1 Elise Sport 160 and Brian in his sideways Sapphire Cosworth, nice to meet you guys!
